About

My first exposure to photography was while in high school when my friend Bill talked me into visiting the high school dark room.  I remember that day vividly.  I was playing hooky from class, hanging out in the hallway just a few feet from the dark room.  Thats when Bill walked out and said to me; "Mike, you got come see this, man its cool."   So I walked into this red, dimly lit room and I watched as my friend threw a white sheet of paper in what appeared to be water, and swished it around.  To my amazement, an image slowly formed, I thought it was magic.  From that moment on I was hooked.  Right after high school I joined the army as a Combat Photographer.  Fast forward 20 years, now here I am with new equipment, new technology, and new ideas, but with the same passion and love for the art.  And while the technology has changed, its still just as magical as the day I stepped into that high school darkroom.  Photography for me has never been about making money, its about doing what I love, its about giving something of yourself that adds to the world and makes others happy.  Its about meeting people, hearing their story and bringing that story to life in a unique and meaningful way.  Photography is the joy of my life...
